Job summary

Peace River Wildlife Center Education Center seeks a Visitor Services Coordinator to oversee admissions operations and volunteer coordination. The role ensures a welcoming visitor experience, manages ticketing and memberships, and supports staff with daily front-desk activities.

The position is initially part-time (≈24 hours/week) with potential to convert to full-time based on need, performance, and organizational priorities. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in customer service, admissions, retail, or office administration preferred.
• Experience handling cash and processing financial transactions required.
• Experience working with volunteers is a plus.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
• Check visitors into the Education Center and provide information and policies.
• Sell and process admission tickets, memberships, and services.
• Promote memberships and PRWC opportunities in a friendly, informative way.
• Process cash, credit card, and other payments accurately.
• Open and close admissions desk and related systems.
• Assist with training and coordinating admissions volunteers.
• Answer calls and assist visitors with questions; direct complex queries.
