Job summary

The Salvation Army’s Children’s Services - Foster Care Program in Allentown, PA invites a Visit Coach/Family Worker for a temporary, full-time role. The position focuses on supervising visits, transporting families, and supporting reunification efforts in a home-like Comfort Cottage setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum two years’ experience with children in social services.
• Flexibility to schedule day/evening hours.
• Knowledge of The Salvation Army mission and PA child clearances.
• Mandated reporter training within 30 days of employment; recurring every five years.

Responsibilities

• Engage and support birth families and foster parents during visits.
• Transport and supervise family visits at the Comfort Cottage.
• Coordinate with county staff and therapists to support reunification.
• Provide transportation to appointments as needed.
• Monitor progress of birth parents and children in the program.
