Job summary

Walmart Vision Center seeks an Optical Associate to drive sales through effective merchandising, accurate pricing, and strong customer service. You will supervise associates, mentor staff, and ensure strict adherence to company policies and confidentiality in handling records.

The role involves assisting Members/Customers with eyewear selections, taking measurements, verifying prescriptions, and maintaining optical equipment, while upholding the Open Door Policy and community-driven initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of college OR 1 year retail experience and 1 year supervisory experience OR 2 years general work experience including 1 year optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and development opportunities for Vision Center associates by hiring, training, mentoring and assigning duties.
• Consult with Members/Customers to select eyewear, take measurements, verify prescriptions and maintain confidentiality.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and asset protection, while directing safety and quality reviews.
