Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, performing preliminary testing and measurements, and learning about the industry through company training. Some weekend and evening shifts are required.

You will consult with patients, document medical history, and help maintain a smooth flow of appointments while ensuring patient comfort and a top-notch experience. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with the ability to understand/do basic math.
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for exams.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other tests.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
