Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with patient prep, preliminary testing and measurements. No optical experience is required as training is provided. Weekend/evening shifts may be required as you help patients see their best lives.

You will learn to use pretest equipment and conduct visual screenings, assist with contact lens training, and ensure a smooth patient flow throughout visits in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; basic math understanding.
• Personable, patient and capable of comforting patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products and services; training provided.
• Collaborative team player focused on the patient experience.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for exams.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures they'll experience.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and other preliminary testing as needed.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
