Job summary

MyEyeDr. in Georgia is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and patient prep. Training is provided to learn pretest equipment and vision screenings, enabling you to contribute to a best-in-class patient experience.

No optical experience is required. The role emphasizes patient comfort, accurate documentation of medical history, teamwork, and flexible weekend/evening shifts to support clinic needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable, patient, and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Willingness to learn optics and testing procedures.
• Collaborative team player with excellent patient care.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients and document medical history to prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures.
• Learn and use pretest equipment for vision screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless experience.
