Job summary

Medical Eyeglass Center, Inc. seeks an Optical Associate in Yulee, FL to assist patients with eyewear selection, fitting, and adjustments inside partner clinics. You will process orders, maintain prescription records, and support lab orders to ensure timely fulfillment.

You will dispense eyewear and lenses, assist with insurance authorizations, and help keep the patient area welcoming while supporting promotions and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months optical experience.
• Ability to read prescriptions and take precise measurements.
• Experience with insurance eligibility and authorizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with eyewear selection, fitting, and adjustments.
• Process orders through MEC POS and maintain records.
• Review lab orders for timely and accurate completion.
• Submit insurance claims and follow up on receivables.
• Dispense prescription and non-prescription eyewear and lenses where applicable.
• Maintain frame inventory and keep displays organized and clean.
• Support in-office promotions and teamwork with staff.
