Medical Eyeglass Center (MEC) in Saint Petersburg, FL, is seeking an Optical Associate to join our team inside medical offices, delivering patient-focused eyewear service from selection to fitting and adjustments.

You’ll process orders, manage prescriptions and insurance claims, and collaborate with providers and staff to ensure accurate, timely eyewear solutions. The role blends technical eyewear work with strong customer service in a professional setting.

Qualificações

• Minimum 6 months of experience in optical
• Ability to read and interpret spectacle prescriptions
• Strong customer service and sales skills
• Familiarity with optical lab processes and lens types
• Experience with insurance eligibility checks and authorizations

Responsabilidades

• Provide eyewear selection, fitting, and adjustments.
• Process orders through MEC’s point-of-sale systems.
• Maintain records of prescriptions, orders, payments, and insurance claims.
• Review lab orders for timely completion.
• Dispense prescription eyewear and contact lenses where applicable.
• Assist patients with eyewear adjustments, repairs, and cleaning.
• Maintain inventory and organize displays.
