Job summary

AEG Vision is hiring an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care on-site. You will assist patients with frame selection, lens options, and coatings, while ensuring accurate measurements and proper dispensing.

Experience in eye care and HIPAA familiarity are valued as you support patient satisfaction and repeat visits. The role emphasizes customer service, product knowledge, and collaboration with technicians and doctors to deliver high-quality eye care.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills including MS Office, Windows, and general word processing.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient and explains customized recommendations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings to fit lifestyle and prescription.
• Interpret prescriptions and enter data into EHR/ALE accurately.
• Ensure proper frame fit, measurements, and lens dispensing; perform adjustments and repairs as needed.
• Keep up-to-date on products, rebates, and lens/frame options.
• Explain insurance benefits, copays, and coverage limitations to patients.
