Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a Clinical Specialist (CS)/Optometric Assistant in Port Reading, NJ to be the welcoming face of our exam practice, guiding patients through preliminary testing and eye health education with warmth and expertise.

You will maintain patient records, introduce patients to the OD, and help transition them to the sales floor, while supporting exam-lane operations, restocking, and phone coverage.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs.
