Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a Clinical Specialist (CS)/Optometric Assistant to be the face of our Exam Practice, guiding patients through the initial steps of the eye care journey with a simple, human and bold approach.

Role requires knowledge of eye health and preliminary testing, with responsibilities spanning patient onboarding, OD handoff, and in-store product education, while maintaining records and supporting exam lanes.

Qualifications

• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.
• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs.
