Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a Clinical Specialist (CS)/Optometric Assistant to be the face of our Exam Practice in our Jersey City store. You will guide patients through the initial steps of their eye exam journey with a friendly, human, and bold approach, handling preliminary testing and clinical information.

You will help transition patients to the OD, support exam lane activities, manage records, and assist on the sales floor with educating and recommending products and services that meet eye care

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs.
