Job summary

Visionworks is seeking an OD Coordinator to be the face of our exam practice, guiding patients through the Visionworks journey and coordinating with OD Techs. This role focuses on delivering a simple, human, and bold patient experience in a busy store environment.

The position emphasizes accurate record-keeping, customer service, and seamless transitions from medical to sales staff, with responsibilities spanning inventory, scheduling, and daily store operations.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.
• Licensed OD Techs will have/maintain a State Opticians License

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide essential information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor with necessary information for education and product/service recommendations.
• Support exam lane operations: restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet patient needs.
• Count the Optometrist’s daily revenue and prepare for deposit.
• Prepare Technician work schedules to meet patient/Doctor demand.
