Job summary

Visionworks is seeking an OD Coordinator to be the face of our Exam Practice, guiding patients through the first steps of the Visionworks experience with a simple, human and bold approach.

Role includes assisting with OD Tech training and scheduling, maintaining records, and coordinating transitions from doctor to sales floor to educate customers about products and services that meet their eye care needs. Compensation is through a full-time pay class with benefits.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience
• Licensed OD Techs will have/maintain a State Opticians License

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs.
• Executeday-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including: restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs.
• Count the Optometrist’s daily revenue and prepare for deposit.
• Prepare the Technician work schedules to meet patient/Doctor demand.

Education

HS diploma / GED or equivalent
