Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Assistant Practice Manager to inspire and support the team, deliver exceptional patient care, and achieve meaningful business results. This hands-on leadership role focuses on daily operations, patient flow, and staff development to prepare for expanded responsibilities.

You will work on the practice floor, learn multiple practice functions, and collaborate with the Practice Manager and Optometrist to optimize exam flow and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Optical/healthcare/retail or comparable service/operations experience is required.
• 1–2 years of leadership, lead, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and follow-up skills in a fast-paced patient care environment.
• Ability to reinforce expectations and coach or train others as needed.
• Willingness to learn and function across multiple practice positions to support patient care and operations.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations, patient flow, team coordination, service execution, and real-time practice needs.
• Work on the practice floor and assist across functions to support patient care and operational execution.
• Learn and support key practice roles such as patient care coordination, optical sales and service, and front desk operations.
• Support areas of responsibility like front desk flow, optical floor support, and clinical/technician workflow.
• Assist with onboarding, coaching, and team development as requested by the Practice Manager.
