Job summary

Child Care Aware is seeking a Manager of Volunteer Engagement to design and lead a comprehensive volunteer program for the Virginia Telemental Health Initiative. The role coordinates recruitment, onboarding, ongoing support, and recognition, working closely with clinical and leadership teams to align volunteers with clinic needs.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a human services field, at least 3 years in volunteer management, and strong communication and virtual‑team collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years in volunteer management or related nonprofit field.
• Bilingual is preferred.
• Experience with telehealth/virtual environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implements recruitment and retention activities aligned with clinic needs.
• Supports onboarding, training, and ongoing supervision of volunteers.
• Maintains volunteer data, documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinates volunteer recognition and offboarding processes.
• Collaborates with clinical teams to align volunteer programs with care delivery.
