Job summary

Plume Health is seeking a Support Group Facilitator to lead virtual groups for trans and nonbinary members. You will foster safe spaces, design session agendas, and guide discussions with empathy and inclusivity.

The role is independently contracted, with time split between facilitation, prep, follow-up, and occasional training. Groups run virtually on a regular cadence, overseen by the Community Programs & Engagement Manager.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years as facilitator or peer support specialist.
• 2+ years supporting trans/nonbinary individuals in any setting.
• 1+ years facilitating virtual groups or workshops.
• Experience with equity, anti-discrimination and social justice topics.
• Ability to discuss sensitive issues in a group context.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate live virtual support groups for Plume members.
• Respond empathetically to members' emotional needs in sessions.
• Create agendas using themes and templates for groups.
• Provide feedback to improve group structure and materials.
• Answer questions about Plume services and assist access.
• Engage participants for broader community connection outside meetings.
• Apply conflict resolution skills to maintain group harmony.
• Occasionally cover for other facilitators and participate in events.
