Zusammenfassung

Ohio Connections Academy is seeking a Special Education Teacher to virtually manage instructional programs for students with special needs. You will consult with parents/guardians and students, participate in all steps of the IEP process, and ensure IEPs are implemented with fidelity while complying with state and federal regulations.

You will develop IEPs, coordinate virtual meetings, monitor student progress, and collaborate with general and special education teachers.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Special Education or related education field.
• Highly qualified with a valid Ohio Special Education certification.
• Residence in Ohio preferred but not required.
• Strong technology skills with Microsoft OS, MS Office, and Google Suite.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Customer-focused approach and adaptability.
• Willingness to travel for school events as needed.

Aufgaben

• Manage instructional guidance and virtual teaching for a caseload of students.
• Develop, write, and implement student IEPs.
• Schedule and conduct all IEP meetings in the virtual environment.
• Communicate with parents/guardians/learning coaches regarding engagement and progress.
• Collaborate with general and special education teachers to implement IEP supports and modifications.
• Provide specially designed direct services virtually as outlined in the IEP.
• Assist in developing program modifications and strategies for all students.
• Organize and implement IEP-related paperwork and procedures.
• Maintain accurate data in the Learning Management System and special education software.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, logs, RTI minutes, and transcripts.
• Review student progress through progress monitoring and gradebook review.
• Assign and monitor Supplemental Instructional Support Programs (SISPs).
• Assist with administering state testing and ensure accommodations are reflected in IEP and LMS.
