Job summary

Ohio Bridge Connections Academy is seeking a Special Education Teacher to deliver specially designed instruction from a home-based office in Ohio. The role requires an Ohio Special Education Certificate and experience with IEPs, 504 plans, and virtual instruction.

You will collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers, manage IEP timelines, document progress, and participate in state testing accommodations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Ohio Special Education Certificate.
• Degree in Special Education or related Education Field.
• Successful background checks or clearances as required.
• Experience with IDEA policy and/or Special Education administration.
• Strong technology skills with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Highly organized, punctual, and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Manage instructional programs for students with special needs.
• Deliver instruction and participate in IEP/504 planning and implementation.
• Monitor student progress, complete report cards, and conduct parent conferences.
• Coordinate with the IEP team, including parents, services providers, and school staff.
• Provide direct services via virtual instruction and scheduling meetings in a virtual environment.
• Maintain accurate data in the LMS and special education software.
• Assist with state testing accommodations as required.
