Job summary

Minnesota Connections Academy seeks a Special Education Teacher to deliver specially designed instruction from a home-based setting, managing virtual IEPs and collaborating with teachers and specialists to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

The role uses technology to provide services and requires developing and monitoring IEPs, coordinating with parents and service providers, and maintaining accurate data in the LMS. Some travel for events may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Special Education or related Education Field required.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Highly organized and punctual; customer-centric.
• Ability to work remotely and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage instructional guidance and virtual teaching for a caseload of students needing direct or indirect services.
• Develop, write, implement, and monitor IEPs and 504 plans.
• Monitor student progress, complete report cards and conduct parent conferences.
• Communicate with IEP team, parents, service providers, and school staff to meet goals.
• Provide direct services via web-conferencing as needed.
• Schedule and conduct IEP-related meetings in a virtual setting.
