Job summary

Soliant is seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter for a fully virtual contract role to support Deaf students in grades 3 and 4, and collaborate with educators to enhance accessibility. The position offers a 35-hour work week (8:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

with a half-hour lunch) on a long-term assignment through late May 2027, starting ASAP. You will work from a home office, interpreting in real time, coaching staff in sign language basics, and partnering with educators to ensure culturally

Qualifications

• Minimum EIPA score of 3.5; RID certification acceptable if outside PA.
• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Experience supporting K-12 students; Deaf/HOH populations preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary education teams to convey language.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting classroom instruction for Deaf students in real time.
• Partnering with the Teacher of the Deaf and special education staff to maximize accessibility.
• Coaching support staff in sign language basics to assist students with complex needs.
• Ensuring clear, culturally-responsive communication at all times.
