Job summary

Intuit, Inc. seeks a Senior Staff Payroll Tax Processor to resolve complex state and federal notices and file amendments across multiple states. The role leads by example, guiding less experienced staff while owning the most challenging cases end-to-end.

As a virtual expert on SelectTime, you will work 20–40 hours per week, with overtime eligibility, focusing on process improvement and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, timely tax resolutions for customers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in payroll tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of state and federal notices and amendments.
• Experience preparing amended returns (941-X, W-2c) and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills for audit trails and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex payroll tax notices across multiple states end-to-end.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors spanning multiple periods and jurisdictions.
• Coach and mentor team members to build resolution capability.
• Collaborate with Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams.
