Job summary

Stride K12 partner Ohio Virtual Academy (OHVA) seeks a Middle School Intervention Specialist for grades 6-8 in a fully remote role with periodic travel. You will adapt the K12 curriculum, write IEPs, and work with general education teachers to reach student goals while engaging families in the process.

Candidates need an Ohio Intervention Specialist license, a bachelor’s degree, and at least one year of classroom experience; Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

State license required (Ohio Intervention Specialist License).
Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s preferred.
Minimum 1 year classroom experience or equivalent.
Ability to clear required background check; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Modify/adapt the K12 curriculum aligned to state standards to meet individual student needs.
Write and maintain compliant IEPs for students with special needs.
Collaborate with general education teachers to meet student goals.
Educate parents on instructional strategies.
Prepare appropriate documentation.
Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings.
Proctor achievement and other required testing, including alternate assessments.
Collaborate with related services team to monitor IEP goals.
