Job summary

Stride K12, a Stride, Inc. partner, is seeking an Intervention Specialist for the Ohio Virtual Academy (OHVA). This full‑time remote position supports Grades 3–5 students with diverse disabilities, developing individualized instruction, literacy, communication, and math skills.

Qualifications

• State of Ohio Intervention Specialist License.
• Bachelor's degree and equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Modify and adapt the K12 curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Write and maintain compliant IEPs for students identified with special needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to meet the goals of the student.
• Educate parents on various instructional strategies.
• Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings.
• Proctor achievement and other required testing to students including alternative assessments if required.
• Collaborates with related services team to ensure IEP goals are developed and monitored.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to pass required background check.
• Travel up to 20% as needed.
