Job summary

Gesa Credit Union in Richland, WA seeks a Virtual Relationship Specialist to assist members and nonmembers with consumer deposit accounts via phone, email, and online channels. You will support account opening, maintenance, and cross-sell of products while upholding confidentiality and service SLAs.

The position requires at least 1 year in customer service and deposit opening exposure, with strong MS Office skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a customer service or support role.
• Minimum of one (1) year of deposit account opening experience.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and multiple software programs used to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional member service to all whom we serve.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality relative to information received.
• Assist members and nonmembers with establishing membership and/or additional consumer accounts virtually.
• Process applications from members and nonmembers, and from internal departments within established service level agreements.
• Perform consumer account maintenance, including name, address, and account ownership changes.
• Initiate outbound welcome calls and/or email to new and potential members.
• Demonstrate knowledge of financial literacy, products, and services and discuss with members.
• Evaluate and mitigate risk for fraud while supporting membership growth.
