Job summary

Ucardia, Inc. is seeking a skilled virtual health coach on a 1099 contract basis. You will lead live video sessions, support members via async messaging, and translate wearable data into personalized coaching plans.

The role requires evening/weekend availability and a thoughtful, proactive approach in a fast-paced startup setting. Compensation ranges from $22 to $32 per hour, with flexible scheduling and no traditional employee benefits.

Qualifications

• NBC-HWC credential (or exam-enrolled).
• Fitness or nutrition certification: CPT, ACE, NASM, or ACSM.
• Minimum of 1 year virtual coaching with live video + async messaging.
• Ability to manage a caseload and maintain proactive engagement.
• Comfort interpreting HR, HRV, steps, sleep, and device data.
• Evening and weekend availability; some daytime blocks.
• High empathy with structured accountability.
• Experience in fast-moving startup environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead one-on-one live video coaching sessions blending behavior change and practical guidance.
• Maintain structured asynchronous messaging with timely, clear guidance.
• Build personal, scalable member engagement across channels.
• Interpret wearable signals and translate into coaching insights.
• Co-create adaptive plans based on real-time data and feedback.
• Demonstrate movements live and correct form with modifications as needed.
• Identify red flags and escalate to clinicians when appropriate.
• Share patterns with product/content teams to improve flows and templates.
• Keep concise notes and track key outcomes for dashboards.
