Job summary

TIAA is seeking a Virtual Financial Consultant to provide virtual counseling on the full range of products and services for participants, prospects, beneficiaries and their representatives. The role includes financial planning advice via in person, phone, and video chat and covers institutional clients aligned to regional structures.

During the training period, the role is non-exempt and hourly with overtime; after training, it becomes salaried and exempt with a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• University (Degree) Preferred
• 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred
• SRC Indicator: Series 7; Series 63
• Life and Health Insurance License (Resident State) - Multiple Issuers required within 120 Days

Responsibilities

• Counsels participants on their pension plans, tax deferred annuities and other available investment options to help clients retain and increase assets.
• Educates, recommends and facilitates new product purchases (including retail mutual funds, annuities, IRAs, 529 and 403b, bank products, life insurance and others) and provides authoritative information for personal financial planning decisions.
• Interacts with retirement plan participants to provide exceptional customer service and execute transaction and service requests.
• Utilizes knowledge of tax and investment strategies to inform financial advice based on clients' needs and objectives.
• Communicates internally with cross-business partnerships to develop and implement TIAA products and services to support clients and company initiatives.
• Develops and maintains strong relationship with Institutional Plan Sponsors.
