Job summary

TIAA is seeking a Virtual Financial Consultant (T) to provide virtual counseling for participants, prospects and their representatives on the full spectrum of TIAA products and services. This role supports in-person, phone and video sessions to help clients reach their financial goals.

During the initial training period the position is non-exempt and paid hourly with overtime. After training, based on duties, the role becomes salaried (weekly pay = hourly rate × 40) and overtime eligibility

Qualifications

• University degree preferred for the role.
• 3+ years in financial services; 5+ years preferred.
• FINRA licenses required within 120 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Counsels participants on pension plans, tax-deferred annuities and other investment options.
• Educates, recommends and facilitates new product purchases across investment and banking products.
• Interacts with retirement plan participants to provide exceptional customer service and process requests.
• Uses tax and investment knowledge to tailor financial advice to client goals.
• Collaborates with internal teams to implement TIAA products and services.
• Develops strong relationships with Institutional Plan Sponsors.
