Job summary

Perplexity is seeking a Virtual Events Manager in San Francisco to build a world-class virtual events engine that showcases our products and educates users. You will master our products and translate complexity into compelling live experiences, owning programs that drive active users and qualified pipeline.

You will be both a charismatic host and an operator, recruiting experts, partnering with Growth to grow the audience, and measuring business impact for each program.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in virtual events or related roles.
• Ability to learn technical products and translate into live demos.
• Strong on-camera presence for hosting and presenting.
• Cross-functional coordination with product, engineering, sales and marketing.
• Full-funnel growth fluency: registrations, campaigns, follow-up.
• Analytical mindset with CRM/MA data to measure ROI.
• Excellent production judgment: rehearsals, readiness, and live moderation.
• Rapid learner who thrives in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Know the product cold by deep product knowledge and close collaboration with teams.
• Own virtual events end to end from strategy to retros.
• Bring the product to life with engaging live demonstrations.
• Find and prepare the right speakers across orgs including product, engineering, research, sales and marketing.
• Build the audience through cross-team promotion and targeting.
• Turn events into an engine with recordings, clips, and follow-up materials.
• Measure outcomes across funnel, attendance, engagement, and pipeline ROI.
• Build the operating system for scalable event programs and templates.
