Job summary

Lowcountry Connections Academy (LCCA) is seeking a full-time certified teacher to work from home in South Carolina. The role involves managing instructional programs for K–5 students, consulting with learning coaches and families, and ensuring students successfully complete their programs.

You will conduct asynchronous and synchronous sessions, complete grading, and prepare progress reports, while communicating with parents and students to tailor Personal Learning Plans and schedules.

Qualifications

• Certified to teach Elementary School (K-5) in South Carolina.
• Must reside in South Carolina.
• Strong technology skills including MS Office and Google Suite.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Flexible and organized with ability to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Support the instructional program with asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction.
• Complete grading, create progress reports and conduct parent conferences.
• Communicate with parents, students, and other teachers to develop and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules, provide feedback on student work, suggest instructional approaches and strategies, monitor completion of assignments and coach special projects.
• Develop knowledge of the program’s K-12 curriculum and the grades you are responsible for.
• Support students and parents with enrichment and daily assignments and projects.
• Keep student records and attendance accounting up-to-date.
• Consult with colleagues to develop modifications to students’ programs to increase understanding.
• Devise and implement virtual methods to create and maintain a school community.
• Participate in State Testing administration as directed.
• Participate in student recruiting sessions and other marketing efforts requiring teacher representation.
• Attend field trips and other community activities implemented for families.
• Other duties as assigned.
