Job summary

Lowcountry Connections Academy (LCCA) seeks a dynamic Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher to connect classroom learning with real-world career readiness for South Carolina high schoolers. This home-based remote teaching role will expand Work Based Learning opportunities using our Learning Management System, digital tools, and curriculum resources.

You will design and deliver engaging CTE pathways, cultivate partnerships with local businesses, guide students toward industry

Qualifications

• South Carolina CTE certification required.
• 5-12 Multi-occupations (MOC) certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Knowledge of Perkins Funding desirable.
• Knowledge of CTSO (Career-Technical Student Organizations).
• Strong technology skills, especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Customer-focused approach and high flexibility.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work remotely if needed.
• Availability for occasional evening hours and 2-step authentication requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging, career-focused instruction across CTE pathways.
• Coordinate and expand Work Based Learning opportunities (internships, job shadows, panels).
• Build partnerships with local businesses and workforce organizations.
• Support students in earning industry-recognized certifications.
• Utilize LMS and digital tools to monitor progress in a virtual environment.
• Provide assistance to students/parents with assignments and projects.
• Maintain accurate attendance and records in school systems.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate CTE concepts and modify instruction.
• Develop virtual school community and participate in state testing as directed.
• Represent the school at recruiting sessions and marketing events.
