Job summary

South Carolina Connections Academy is seeking an Elementary Teacher to support K-12 instruction from home or in Columbia, SC. You will consult regularly with learning coaches and students to ensure each child completes their instructional program.

The role requires SC certification for Elementary or Early Childhood, strong technology skills, excellent verbal and written communication, and the ability to work remotely or on-site with occasional evening hours and travel for testing events.

Qualifications

• Certified to teach Early Childhood and/or Elementary grades in South Carolina, per grade level.
• Strong technology skills with MS Office and Google Suite.
• Excellent communication, both oral and written.
• Highly organized and punctual.
• Customer focused, flexible and adaptable.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel for school/state testing events (occasional overnight).
• Able to work remotely if needed and use personal devices with email for two-step authentication.

Responsibilities

• Manage instructional programs from home or Columbia, SC.
• Consult regularly with learning coaches and students to guide progress.
• Provide asynchronous and synchronous instruction via web conferencing.
• Complete grading, progress reports, and parent conferences promptly.
• Maintain student records, attendance data, and communications.
• Support development of Personal Learning Plans and schedules.
