Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking an Academic Administrator/Principal for North Carolina Virtual Academy (NCVA). You will direct and coordinate educational, administrative and counseling activities for students, working through supervisors as needed.

The candidate must hold North Carolina Administrative Certification, reside in North Carolina, and bring at least five years of educational experience with supervisory responsibilities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in business, education or related field is required.
• Five (5) years of educational experience and one (1) year of supervisory experience or equivalent.
• Ability to clear required background check.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates educational, administrative and counseling activities.
• Researches and implements non-K12 curriculum resources meeting state standards.
• Manages teaching and administrative staff; oversees Master and Lead Teachers and programs.
• Communicates the school's mission and vision to stakeholders, supports a virtual/remote work environment.
• Coordinates with teachers, students and parents on educational and behavioral issues.
• Ensures compliance with laws including special education; develops Academic Improvement Plan.
