Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking an Academic Administrator/Principal to lead Volunteer State Virtual Academy (VSVA). The role directs educational, administrative and counseling activities, with emphasis on virtual instruction and compliance with state standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Tennessee Principal Certification, have 5+ years of educational experience and at least 1 year in supervision. Remote candidates in TN preferred; in-person PDs and events are required occasionally.

Qualifications

Master's degree in education or related field with 5+ years of educational experience.
At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
Ability to clear required background check.

Responsibilities

Ensure conformance of educational programs to state and local standards through evaluation, development and coordination activities.
Research and implement non-K12 curriculum resources that meet state standards.
Manage teaching and administrative staff and oversee Master and Lead Teachers.
Articulate the school’s mission and vision to align stakeholders for desired results.
Support a predominantly virtual/remote work environment with communication technologies.
Coordinate with teacher and K12 Enrollment regarding expulsions/ withdrawals.
Develop and oversee implementation of the school's Academic Improvement Plan.
