Job summary

Stride, Inc. and Volunteer State Virtual Academy (VSVA) seek an Elementary School Academic Administrator to lead educational and counseling activities for students in a predominantly virtual setting.

The candidate must hold Tennessee Principal Certification, have a Master's degree, five years of educational experience, and at least one year of supervisory experience. Remote work with occasional in-person PDs and events is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in business, education or a related field.
• Five years of educational experience.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to clear required background check.

Responsibilities

• Ensures conformance of educational programs to state and local standards through evaluation, development and coordination activities.
• Manages teaching and administrative staff and leads Master/Lead Teachers and programs.
• Communicates the school's mission and vision to stakeholders to align efforts for desired results.
• Utilizes technology to support a virtual/remote work environment and digital communication with staff, students and families.
• Coordinates with teachers and Enrollment regarding expulsions/withdrawals and complies with laws including special education.
• Develops and oversees the school's Academic Improvement Plan.
