Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Virtual Care Flow Coordinator to create a welcoming environment for virtual patients. You will guide patients, provide accurate information, and ensure seamless flow before, during, and after virtual visits.

The role requires initiative, problem solving, and collaboration across clinical and support teams. Responsibilities include patient scheduling, access functions, and contributing to patient experience initiatives to improve processes across facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years experience in healthcare or related field providing customer service, patient care support or healthcare administration (1 year if Associate’s degree).
• Medical Assistant program or applicable Military Training preferred.
• Experience in outpatient clinic setting and healthcare/tech support.
• Knowledge of Cerner Scheduling – appointment modification, scheduling, and reading provider templates.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional and positive demeanor when interacting with customers and colleagues.
• Provide accurate information and instructions to virtual care patients and clinical teams.
• Handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, greeting patients and coordinating needs.
• Coordinate flow of virtual visit patients and families using strong customer-service skills.
• Support patient access functions and improve patient flow and virtual care operations.
• Collaborate with leadership on projects to align with practice requirements and optimize patient flow.
• Evaluate patient flow, wait times, and scheduling processes to identify improvements.
• Participate in meetings and initiatives focused on patient experience and continuous improvement.
• Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers, documenting interactions and issues.
