Job summary

University of Miami Health System is seeking a Concierge Coordinator to support international and VIP patients, coordinating data collection, scheduling, and insurance verification. You will arrange transportation and lodging and collaborate with physicians and payers to provide seamless care within the UHealth Concierge program.

The role requires at least 1 year of related experience, strong customer service, and superb communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.
Minimum 1 year of relative experience required.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure.
Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Experience with Epic and NICE (Nice InContact) preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinates the full cycle of medical services for international or VIP patients and gathers all pertinent data.
Organizes transportation and lodging for patients transferring to or seeking services at UM facilities.
Schedules appointments, registers patients, and verifies insurance coverage.
Negotiates discount and bundled pricing and collects payments from self-pay patients and other payers.
Follows up with patients and non-contracted payers to collect funds.
Acts as after-hour contact on a rotating basis within a set schedule.
Documents all patient interactions and communicates with departments to ensure continuity of care.
