Job summary

University of Miami Health System seeks a Customer Service Representative (U) to be the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors at UHealth Tower. The role includes badge creation, directing to services, and assisting with parking validations in a fast-paced hospital lobby.

Essential duties emphasize confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and delivering a compassionate, knowledgeable, and patient-centered experience as part of a large academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English; multilingual skill is strongly preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with empathy.
• Provide the highest level of customer service and welcoming atmosphere.
• Maintains confidentiality and privacy per HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, families, and visitors and provide directions.
• Create and badge patients, families, and visitors upon entry.
• Assist with parking validation and Fast Pass badge setup.
• Escort patients or family members when appropriate.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
• Communicate professionally per CICARE and ACT framework.
