Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a qualified IT Support Specialist to maintain and troubleshoot complex government-area systems. The role requires coordinating hardware/software updates, documenting procedures, and assisting VIP users with after-hours support as needed.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent, five years of IT experience, and an interim Secret clearance prior to full-time employment. Strong security practices and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent and five years IT support experience or equivalent combination.
• Security+ or DoD 8570.01-m knowledge is preferred; interim secret clearance required prior to full-time employment.
• Experience working in DoD or government-related environments with VIP support experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately records daily tasks and assignments for metrics gathering on task orders.
• Coordinates updates of cell service hardware and software applications.
• Develops procedures and training material for customers and internal use.
• Aids in the design, development and maintenance of system applications and troubleshoots complex IT problems.
• Provides VIP level assistance and may work afterhours as needed.
