Job summary

The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, CA is hiring a Pool Attendant to greet guests, distribute towels, assign chairs, and help ensure pool safety.

This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task, and basic computer skills; hospitality experience is preferred and lifeguard or spa attendant background is a plus.

Base pay starts at $15.50 per hour with competitive benefits including paid time off, 401(k) matching, and health benefits.

The Pool Attendant is responsible for greeting, distributing towels and assigning chairs to pool guests and ensuring their safety while visiting the pool. Responsible for cleaning and straightening pool deck.

Greets, distributes towels and assigns chairs to pool guests.

Answers telephone.

Cleans and straightens pool deck as well as restocking towel bins.

Collects soiled towels, trash, and rafts.

Communicate with management staff and other employees.

Understand and apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for associates and guests at all times. In the event of an accident or emergency, get medical attention if necessary and contact the GM or Human Resources immediately.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

Minimum high school degree or general education diploma (GED).

Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, enjoy problem solving and love taking care of guests.

Ability to multi-task.

Basic computer skills.

Hospitality experience preferred.

Experience as a pool attendant/lifeguard, spa attendant or related position preferred.

Compensation:

Base Pay Start Rate:$15.50
