Job summary

MANTECH seeks a motivated Video Teleconferencing Technician to join our team in Doral, FL. The role involves Tier I/II support for VTC systems, on-site installations, and coordinating with clients on network/configuration needs.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with 5 years of VTC support experience, or a IT/CS degree with equivalent experience. A fundamental IP network understanding is required, with DoD experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma and 5 years’ experience providing Tier I/II support for VTC systems or related role.
• OR a Bachelor’s Degree in IT/CS or similar field is equivalent to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Fundamental understanding of IP networks and how they support VTC systems.

• Respond to system outages and take actions to alt-route or use failover/back-up capabilities to meet client needs.
• Conduct site surveys remotely and on-site to determine requirements for new VTC installations or upgrades.
• Assist with on-site VTC installations, including end network device configurations and equipment checkout.
• Schedule conferences using Cisco’s TelePresence Management Suite (TMS).

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Video Teleconferencing Technician to join our team in Doral, FL .

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform Tier I & II customer support for VTC systems in a fast-paced environment

• Responding to system outages and taking appropriate action(s) to alt-route and/or use available failover/back-up capabilities to meet VTC client needs

• Conducting site surveys both remotely and on-site to determine specific requirements for new VTC system installations and/or upgrades

• Conducting on-site VTC installations to include assisting with end network device configurations, equipment installations, and equipment configuration and check-out

• Scheduling conferences using Cisco’s TelePresence Management Suite (TMS)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Highschool Diploma. and 5 years’ experience providing tier 1 and tier 2 customer support for Video Teleconferencing systems or in a related role.

• OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a similar field of study is equivalent to 3 years of relevant experience.

• Fundamental understanding of IP networks and how they are implemented in support of VTC systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have a current/active Secret clearance.

• Must be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
