Job summary

Solutions Management Group is seeking a VSA Solutions Engineer to lead technical consulting and solutions architecture for Video Security and Access Control. You will work with clients to assess needs, design solutions, create proposals, and provide technical leadership throughout the sales process.

You will collaborate with Business Development to develop proposals, present solutions, and identify opportunities for upgrades and new initiatives.

Qualifications

Strong customer service skills required.
Associate degree or equivalent experience in IT, electronics, security systems, engineering technology, or related field preferred.
3-5 years of experience in Video Security and Access Control systems.
Strong understanding of physical security technologies and IP networking.
Experience developing estimates, proposals, BOMs, and technical designs.
Experience conducting customer consultations and solution presentations.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Provides excellent customer service to staff and clients.
Designs and engineers video surveillance, access control, visitor management, intercom, and integrated security systems.
Develops scope of work, estimates, bill of materials, budgetary pricing, and technical documentation.
Creates conceptual designs, system architecture, riser diagrams, device schedules, and engineering standards.
Conducts customer discovery meetings, site assessments, and security evaluations.
Assists Business Development with solution development, proposals, and customer presentations.
Identifies opportunities for system upgrades, lifecycle replacements, managed services, and new security initiatives.
Generates qualified sales opportunities through customer interactions and networking.
Maintains trusted advisor relationships with clients and supports pre-sales engagements.
Manages technical handoff to Operations and Project Management teams.
