Job summary

Solutions Management Group is seeking a VSA Solutions Engineer in Iowa to lead as a technical consultant for video security and access control projects. You will design, specify, and document security solutions, collaborating with clients to translate needs into scalable architectures.

As a trusted advisor, you will drive pre-sales activities, create proposals, and mentor team members while ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with client objectives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in IT, Electronics, Security Systems, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Video Security and Access Control systems.
• Experience with security technologies and IP networking.
• Experience developing estimates, proposals, and BOMs.
• Experience conducting customer consultations and solution presentations.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to staff and clients.
• Designs video surveillance, access control, visitor management, intercom, and integrated security systems.
• Develops scope of work, estimates, bill of materials, and technical documentation.
• Creates system designs, architecture, RISER diagrams, and engineering standards.
• Leads customer discovery meetings, site assessments, and security evaluations.
• Assists Business Development with solution development and proposals.
• Serves as technical expert during presentations, demonstrations, and pre-sales engagements.
