Job summary

Referment is hiring an engineer to own the unified-communications voice infrastructure, guiding the move from on-premises systems to the cloud. You will architect, migrate, and operate voice services, coordinating with global technology, project, events and facilities teams.

You will lead deployment and support for conferencing platforms (Webex, Zoom and Microsoft Teams), automate administration with Python and APIs, and resolve complex operational issues across regions.

Qualifications

• A technical degree or equivalent experience and at least seven years in unified communications or voice infrastructure.
• Deep Cisco Unified Communications Manager administration and troubleshooting expertise.
• Hands-on on-premises-to-cloud calling migration experience.

Referment is working with a global investment and technology business to hire an engineer for its worldwide voice and video infrastructure. The team owns calling platforms, conferencing technology, hardware deployment and technical event support.

You will lead the unified-communications voice function and play a central role in moving calling services from on-premises systems to the cloud. The work combines architecture, migration delivery, operational reliability and automation, in partnership with global technology, project, events and facilities teams.

The Role

• Engineer and operate voice and calling infrastructure, including the transition to cloud platforms.
• Assess architectures and plan and execute migration activity with teams across regions.
• Maintain reliable unified-communications services and resolve complex operational issues.
• Support conferencing platforms including Webex, Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
• Automate administration and operational processes through Python, scripting and APIs.

What We're Looking For

• A technical degree or equivalent experience and at least seven years in unified communications or voice infrastructure.
• Deep Cisco Unified Communications Manager administration and troubleshooting expertise.
• Hands-on on-premises-to-cloud calling migration experience.
• Knowledge of SIP trunking, voice gateways, session border controllers and E911 compliance.
• Strong Python automation skills and effective collaboration across global teams.

Relevant Desirable Experience

Cisco Webex Calling, AXL and REST APIs, video infrastructure, and CCNP or CCIE Collaboration certification would be valuable. This could suit a senior UC engineer ready to own a global voice platform and its cloud transition.
