Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. seeks a Senior Voice Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise voice infrastructure centered on Microsoft Teams Phone and Direct Routing.

You will troubleshoot Teams Voice issues, provide Tier 2/3 support, and collaborate with telecom carriers and Microsoft to ensure reliable, secure communications. Responsibilities include designing dial plans, call flows, and policies, leading migrations from legacy telephony, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supporting enterprise voice and UC environments.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Teams Voice and Teams Phone.
• Experience with Direct Routing and Operator Connect.
• Knowledge of CUCM and Cisco Finesse.
• Experience with SIP trunking and enterprise voice routing.
• Proficient in VoIP protocols: SIP, H.323, MGCP, RTP.
• Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Clear verbal and written communication; able to explain technical topics to non-technical users.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Microsoft Teams Phone, Direct Routing, Cisco voice technologies, and VoIP protocols while ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing communication services.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with Microsoft Teams Voice and Teams Phone.
• Experience with Direct Routing and Operator Connect.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and Cisco Finesse.
• Experience with SIP trunking and enterprise voice routing.
• Strong understanding of VoIP protocols including SIP, H.323, MGCP, and RTP.
• Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
