The City of Boise seeks a Victim Witness Unit Supervisor to lead a dedicated team in supporting victims and witnesses through challenging times. This role provides leadership and oversight for the department’s victim-witness services while remaining closely connected to ongoing cases, crisis response, and ensuring access to resources and rights.

The Supervisor will guide coordinators, manage case assignments, and collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutors, and community partners.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology or related field.
• 5 years of experience in crisis intervention and/or working with victims of trauma, including two years of supervisory experience.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Aufgaben

• Lead and develop Victim Witness Coordinators and oversee case assignments.
• Guide crisis response and ensure victims understand their rights and access to resources.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support urgent victim needs outside regular hours.
• Oversee program operations and partnerships with law enforcement, prosecutors and community providers.
• Advise and train staff on crisis debriefings and victim support services.
• Maintain records, reports and statistical data for program evaluations.
