Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, social services, business administration, education or related field.
• Three years of experience performing duties equivalent to a Victim Assistance Advocate for the County of Monterey.
• Must pass background investigation and possess a valid California driver license; may require Advanced Victim Assistance Advocate Certificate within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day‑to‑day operations of the Victims Unit and coordinate services for victims and witnesses of crime.
• Plan, organize, coordinate and deliver services to victims and witnesses through subordinate staff.
• Assist with grant preparation and monitor grant funds; review and approve claims and program applications.
• Provide crisis intervention, guidance, and referrals; ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
