Job description

The Vice President of Talent Acquisition will lead a broad set of workforce planning, programming, and strategy to build, attract, and retain a pipeline of talent. The Vice President will be responsible for the strategy and operations of the full talent acquisition lifecycle, the evolution of the recruiting process, use of talent acquisition tools and methods, and management of the RWJBarnabas Health brand.

The Vice President will also create, implement, and launch new programs that meet workforce needs, business strategies, and anticipate trends in talent acquisition. This includes oversight of recruitment and onboarding of professional staff, allied staff, and RWJBH Executives. The Vice President will serve as a strategic advisor, functional expert, and coach to management on talent acquisition and workforce development, utilizing data and metrics to develop predictive analytics for informed decision-making.

Additionally, the Vice President is responsible for creating and executing programming and protocols to enhance the internal candidate experience, focusing on retaining top talent and meeting internal mobility expectations. They will collaborate with the Workforce Strategies and Organizational Development Center of Expertise to support and innovate talent development within the organization.

Reports To : Chief People Officer, RWJBarnabas Health

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business, human resources management, or relevant field; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Extensive experience in talent acquisition, workforce strategy, organizational development, and change management
  • In-depth knowledge of workforce and leadership development strategies, demonstrated in 5+ years of progressive responsibility
  • Experience implementing enterprise-wide strategic workforce planning, including forecasting and action planning
  • Experience collaborating with academic and non-academic partners for workforce planning
  • Strong time management, decision-making, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Proven leadership of high-performing teams
  • Experience in full recruitment lifecycle, pipeline, and branding strategies
  • Experience managing technology, metrics, and process changes in complex, fast-paced environments
  • Ability to influence and lead without authority, allocate resources, and ensure accountability
  • Professional presence to represent the organization to stakeholders
  • Strong planning, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience facilitating senior-level change management
  • Knowledge of HR Information Systems, including security and reporting tools
  • Experience with predictive analytics outcomes is preferred

Essential Functions :

  • Design and lead strategies for recruiting diverse, qualified talent
  • Manage the strategic workforce planning program and initiatives, including workforce analysis and high-impact position planning
  • Coordinate system-wide workforce strategy planning groups and support related initiatives
  • Develop partnerships to meet healthcare objectives and address trends
  • Lead teams to design and deploy student programming to support workforce strategies
  • Scale and improve equitable recruiting processes, including operations and AI tools
  • Develop analytics-based goals, metrics, and business solutions
  • Lead talent acquisition team, managing and motivating staff to high performance
  • Oversee department operations and budget compliance
