Job Summary :

As a key member of our leadership team, the VP / SVP of Business Development will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic partnerships to drive the commercial success of our platform. This role requires a deep understanding of the medical device and pharmaceutical industries, as well as a proven track record in business development and negotiation.

This role can be remote, with a strong preference for NYC or the Tri-state area, but it is not required.

Responsibilities :

  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company's overall strategic objectives.
  2. Identify and cultivate relationships with potential partners, including pharmaceutical companies, distributors, and healthcare providers.
  3. Negotiate and structure strategic partnerships, licensing agreements, and collaborations.
  4. Lead due diligence and deal execution processes, including financial modeling and valuation.
  5. Represent the company at industry conferences and events.
  6. Provide strategic input into product development and commercialization plans.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of business development initiatives.

Qualifications :

  1. Advanced degree in life sciences or a related field.
  2. Experience in business development within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  3. Proven track record of successful deal-making and partnership formation.
  4. Understanding of R&D pipelines and priorities of biotech or pharmaceutical companies.
  5. Understanding of the regulatory landscape for drug development.
  6. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  7. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  8. Experience in financial modeling and valuation.
  9. Experience with early-stage company development.
