Job summary

ABB is seeking a VFD Support Specialist to provide expert technical assistance to customers, end users, and field technicians. The role includes troubleshooting, programming support, and integration with control systems across hybrid/remote settings in the United States.

You will work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, document solutions, and stay up-to-date on VFD technology trends. A strong electrical background and English communication skills are required, with work authorization

Qualifications

BS/BA in Electrical/Engineering or related field with relevant experience.
Alternatively an assoc. degree with substantial electrical/technical background.
High school diploma plus substantial electrical/technical experience accepted.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support via phone and email for VFD-related issues.
Assist customers with drive programming, parameter configuration, and system integration.
Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales and product teams to resolve complex issues.
Coordinate warranty replacements and labor authorization with the warranty team.
Maintain detailed case documentation using Salesforce Case Management.
Stay current with VFD technologies and industry trends.
